Ingredients

1 egg, 1/4 teaspoon cloves, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 2 teaspoons ginger, 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour, 1 cup molasses, 2/3 cup boiling water, 2 tablespoons margarine, 3 packets Sweet ‘N Low zero calorie sweetener, 1/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Preheat oven to 325F. In large bowl, beat egg with Sweet ‘N Low. Melt margarine in boiling water. Add to egg mixture. Stir in molasses. Sift dry ingredients together; add to egg mixture and beat until smooth. Pour into nonstick 9-inch square baking pan.* Bake 40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. *If you don’t own a nonstick 9-inch square baking pan, you can spray your baking pan with a nonstick coating agent.
