Spiced Plum Spread

(three 8-ounce jars)

3 1/2 pounds ripe red plums, pitted and quartered
1/2 cup unsweetened apple juice
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons Sweet 'N Low® granulated sugar substitute
1 teaspoon bottled lemon juice
2 whole cinnamon sticks
8 whole cloves

In medium-size saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients. Cook, stirring frequently, 40 to 45 minutes or until thickened. Remove cinnamon sticks and cloves. Spoon into hot sterilized jars, allowing 1/4-inch headspace (or follow jar manufacturer's instructions, if different.) Wipe rims with clean cloth dipped in hot water. Close according to jar manufacturer's instructions and process in boiling-water bath 15 minutes.
