Breads and Buns
Gingerbread
(12 servings)
1 egg
3 packets Sweet 'N Low® granulated sugar substitute
2 tablespoons margarine
2/3 cup boiling water
1 cup molasses
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon cloves
¼ teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 325°F. In large bowl, beat egg with Sweet 'N Low. Melt margarine in boiling water. Add to egg mixture. Stir in molasses. Sift dry ingredients together; add to egg mixture and beat until smooth. Pour into nonstick 9-inch square baking pan.* Bake 40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
