Canned Pears

(Yield: 4 pints)

4 pounds ripe, unblemished pears (about 12 medium size)
1-1/2 teaspoons Sweet 'N Low®

Peel, halve and core pears. Put in a large pot and add water to cover. Simmer 5 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, pack fruit into 4 hot, sterilized, pint jars. Measure 1 cup of water from pot and discard the rest. Add Sweet 'N Low and pour evenly over pears. Seal following manufacturer's directions. Process 10 minutes in boiling water bath. Cool before storing.
